“This restaurant looks like a chichi Italian farmhouse, with dried flowers in brass urns, hand-painted porcelain, and straw baskets everywhere.”

"One of the standard-bearers in Denver", this "flat-out wonderful" Cherry Creek venue presents "dreamy" Northern Italian creations for "premium prices" in a "beautiful" setting suited for "special occasions" and "romance"; what's more, the staff, which famously gets "flown to Italy every year for training", is as "scalpel sharp" as ever, while "the owner's passion for wine" shines on the "extensive", "impressive" list; just be sure to "make your reservations early", otherwise you might have to dine at the bar (though that's a "great experience" too).

Ask for the wine list and what you’ll get instead is a bound book, 111 pages in all, spanning every region of Italy; there are nearly 500 bottles from the namesake appellation, along with dozens upon dozens of Barbarescos and Brunellos.
