Avoid rooms facing Canton Road, which can be noisy.
Fodor's
"Spacious rooms with sweeping views of Hong Kong Island are near the shopping hub along Canton Road and linked to Harbour City's immense shopping complex."
Rough Guide
"The Harbour City complex houses threedifferent hotels under the same Marco Polo umbrella. They’re all fairly fancy, and guests can use any hotel’s facilities."
Star Service
"This is the best of the three Marco Polo hotels here, with the largest rooms and the only one with views of the harbor."

Luckily, one floor of standard rooms was renovated, making them the choice units to request.
Star Service
"The entrance is through a marble foyer, past a bland lounge, to a lobby scaled to a personable size, with two small but comfortable sitting areas. "

Guests have use of the outdoor pool and health club at The Marco Polo Hong Kong, but they may get lost in the Harbour City maze (ten minutes via covered walkway) trying to find them, although access to Harbour City is a plus for those who prefer to avoid minibar charges or wish to shop at all hours.

Rough Guide
"Splendid views and the same expense-account clientele as the adjacent Grand Hyatt – whose facilities you get to use – though generally lower rates. $2550."
Star Service
"This hotel offers a great value and costs a fraction of the price of the adjacent Grand Hyatt, yet the two share the same central location, spectacular waterfront views and even the lagoon-style pool."
